Friday 6 March

Friday is set up day.  You are welcome to arrive at the Bulls Domain any time from 11am.  The organising

group needs time on Friday morning to set up the site, so please don't try and access the Domain grounds

before 11am.

The bar in the Rugby Clubrooms will be open from late afternoon on Friday.  The official opening will be at 7pm in the Clubrooms.

Saturday 7 March

Join in the fun activities on Saturday.  See how fast you can pitch a pup tent – and you can even

try doing this blindfolded.  There will be tug of war and gumboot throwing, along with a variety of

other activities for all ages.

To let you inner sparkle shine, GlitterGal will be onsite creating face paint masterpieces for a small charge.

During Saturday afternoon there will be workshops Camping electrics and Cooking the kiwi way.  You will also have the opportunity to vote in the People's Choice category for the Best of the Fest competition.

The local band Light Years will play at Camp Fest on Saturday evening.  Their music has been very popular at previous Camp Fests.  Campers are encouraged to don their favourite fancy dress costume while they listen and dance to the band.  There will be a few prizes for the best costumes.

Facilities at the Bulls Domain during Camp Fest

There are toilets in the rugby club changing sheds and clubrooms. We will have use of the communal showers in the rugby changing sheds.  Potable water onsite and grey water disposal available.  There is no dumping facilities for toilet cassettes. There will be some limited recycling available for glass and cans.

Do you have items to sell or re-home?

Sell your crafts or other items from your camping site

This year we are not having a formal market area, but campers are welcome to sell their crafts, plants or other items from their camping vehicle or tent. Those doing this will be given a flag to indicate to other campers that they have items for sale.

Re-home your unused camping gear

If you have camping gear you never use and would like it to find a new home - bring it to Camp Fest.  We will have a second-hand camping gear stall. You might also find camping items you need or have been looking for on this stall. Proceeds from the sale of second-hand camping gear will help with the costs of running Camp Fest.

Bring good quality books to swap

There will also be a book space where you can swap books that are in good condition, including children's books.

Put your camping vehicle or tent up for sale

Campers can sell their camping vehicle (mobile home, van, caravan) while they are at Camp Fest. There is no fee for this. We will have flags available to indicate you have a vehicle for sale.  However, all arrangements will be the responsibility of the person selling the vehicle.

Best of the Fest - our annual camping competition

Join in the annual competition to find the 'Best at the Fest'. Pimp up your tent or camping vehicle and woo the judging panel and other campers to vote for you.
